Onboarding: mandate, ledgers, data feeds
Before the first posting we translate verbal sketches into a written scope: entity map, fund type, currencies, valuation cadence, depositary file formats, internal reports the board or committees expect. Fewer grey zones upfront mean fewer painful restatements later because "everyone assumed somebody else owned that reconciliation".
Transactions, pricing rounds and procedure discipline
We book asset and liability events — including periodic mark-to-model or mark-to-market cycles — strictly from pricing packages, inputs and sign-offs the manager publishes. When a price does not reconcile to custody, we do not bury a balancing entry; we trace the data chain and log the break where it originates.
Controls, depositary alignment and closes
We support reconciling critical GL balances to depositary statements and other agreed feeds. Statutory financial statements, full-scope audit files, regulatory filings and complex interpretations are typically split contractually: your counsel and auditors may lead while we deliver coherent ledger artefacts inside our remit.
Confidentiality, segregation and regulatory language
In this sector quiet professionalism matters: we follow your confidentiality policies and segregation-of-duties design. Regulatory opinions, supervisor correspondence or investor disputes sit outside routine bookkeeping — we point to capital-markets counsel or in-house compliance as appropriate.
